ABOUT DAN

ABOUT DAN

Dan and his wife Jaime chose to plant roots to raise their family in Abbottsford some time ago and now are an active part of the community. He is a father of five boys and two step-daughters and considers his children his life’s biggest accomplishment. On the professional front, Dan is a very successful business owner of a commercial cleaning company. He started the company in 1999 and now employs up to 80 people to whom are like family to the Dennill’s.

Philanthropy is a commitment to which Dan has always been serving. As a father of an autistic child, he knows the challenges and obstacles families can feel both in the education system and at the family front. He is an avid contributor of Autism Canada ensuring kids and their families don’t feel the burden and have access to resources outside of the health care system. Hockey is a big passion at the Dennill household and Dan is a very proud hockey dad to his sons who have been playing hockey since their early years in Port Coquitlam. Hockey programs have kept him busy either as his previous role of League Manager of the Port Coquitlam Association or as a volunteer at different levels of the sport by sponsoring different teams to provide players with sports equipment and fee relief. This has led him to become a regular donor to Project North providing children with new hockey equipment for those families who cannot afford to send their children to extra curricular activities. Dan’s company also participates and donates to the local food bank as a team!

His philanthropy efforts aren’t just limited to the community in Abbotsford. When disaster hit in the form of severe floods in Fort McMurray in 2020 and in Calgary in the year of 2013, Dan and several members of his crew spent weeks volunteering by providing flood relief efforts and free service and equipment to help out the devastated communities of those areas who were hit the hardest.

As a humanitarian with dedication in helping try to improve the lives of everyone around him, Dan has and will continue to do whatever he can for the needs of his family, his employees and for the community.
