Dan Dennill is a joyful father, loving husband, ambitious business owner, and a proud Abbotsfordian.
He is a humanitarian that always undertakes everything with a humble and resourceful approach. As a hockey dad and someone who always gives back to the community, Dan understands the significant importance of family, community support, and accessible and affordable resources that are needed to make a growing community strong and prosperous for all.
As a common man, Dan Dennill knows the struggles and challenges that come with living in a community where financial hardships, limited resources, and economic uncertainty can affect the way of life.
As a small business owner for the past 27 years, Dan has established a name for himself in the lower mainland, providing exceptional commercial cleaning services and employing up to 80 workers in his company. He is aware of the struggles, lack of resources, and the bureaucratic processes that hinder the success of small and budding first-time business owners. Whether it be opening a new business, taking out a loan, dealing with mortgage payments, or finding means to survive in tough economic times, he is all too familiar with the challenges. As a person who has also come through the foster care system, Dan understands the implications of a lack of financial and community support and the impacts and distress that can cause for children and their families. He has been in the trenches first-hand and easily relates to the problems that ordinary citizens experience. Raised on a farm, he knows the value and importance of the agricultural industry and how essential this sector is for the economy and the community.
Dan possesses the leadership skills and the fundamental qualities of being a team player to achieve a common goal. With his son holding the reins of his business, Dan now has available the time he has always wanted to commit to working for the community. He seeks to make further impacts by using his voice to take a stand for those who need it the most. His commitment and focus remain on extending his community outreach efforts and serving the community’s best interests.
Dan is a strong believer that governments at all levels need to be proactive, not reactive. This starts with listening to the voices of the constituents, no matter what the situation, and taking the community’s concerns to the table to have those real discussions. He stands by his commitment to advocate for and provide economic growth, introduce sustainable ways of living, invest into the youth of today who will become the leaders of tomorrow, help ease the financial burden of the most vulnerable, and bring political transparency and accountability to the people of Abbotsford.
Dan’s mission is to plant solid roots within the city council and commit to serving the community of Abbotsford, rather than using the opportunity as a platform for future political progression.
